Who?
Genial Nuts is a network of independent brokers, trade development senior experts, based in Granada (Spain).
Founded in 2021, arose from the commercial links of David Martínez and Marco Frugnoli, two professionals with extensive experience in international trade and food consultancy and who have found each other thanks to their passion for nuts and their innovative business vision. With a main focus on almonds, they have launched this new agency based on the quality of service, dynamism and professionalism that they share with their network of agents.
Taking advantage of our location in Granada, an increasingly important area for the cultivation, processing and commerce of almonds (both organic and conventional), we have specialized in monitoring the entire production chain from the field to our customers. We rely on local producers for Spanish almonds and on processing in local factories also for imported products.

Our main focus is on almonds: Spanish almonds (organic and conventional), American almonds and the whole range of processed almond products. We also work with other varieties of nuts, such as pistachio, walnuts, and cashew nuts.

Having lived and worked in Europe, Africa and Asia, we have a natural multicultural sensitivity which gives substance and global mileage to every project. These assets, combined with our insider knowledge of the nuts industry give a real competitive edge to any player with ambition.
Where are we?
Our location in Granada (Andalusia) allows us to have direct access to the product in a leading nut production region.
The almond tree is the main crop in the sector in Andalusia, with an area of more than 150,000 hectares in the region. Andalusia accounts for 26.5% of Spanish almond production, followed by Aragon and Murcia. By provinces, Granada stands out with 50% of production and Almeria with 24%.
As far as organic produce is concerned, the provinces of Granada and Almeria make up one of the main organic almond and pistachio growing regions in Spain. This is an area that Genial Nuts knows in depth in terms of terrain, agriculture and supply, which strengthens our competence in the sector and allows us to have an exhaustive knowledge of the product.
Spain is also strategic for almonds imported from USA as it is the first European importer of American almonds.
Who are our suppliers?
Spain is one of the main player in processing almonds and the suppliers are very experienced in serving the main European markets, Northern Africa and Middle East.
We work with both family businesses and large local producers, with the factories that use the most advanced facilities and have the broadest experience in the sector, ensuring the highest levels of quality, meeting deadlines and ensuring the necessary supply. We also work closely with packers in USA and are constantly looking to develop new contacts and establish long lasting business relations with those who best meet the needs of our customers.

Who are our customers?
The use of nuts and dried fruits in global cuisine is on the rise, due to the growing awareness in society of the need to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to consume natural products, as opposed to ultra-processed foods.
In this sense, more and more establishments dedicated to gastronomy are deciding to opt for this ingredient in their preparations.
Against this backdrop, nuts and dried fruits are gaining importance in the food sector. We currently have a large portfolio of customers from different segments, distribution, industry, retail, bakeries and patisseries, who trust us for our experience and the careful service we provide.
About Us
Genial Nuts Agents was founded in 2021 from an idea of David Martínez developed with Marco Frugnoli.
We are nuts brokers and our main focus is on almonds.
We are two professionals with extensive experience in international trade and food consultancy.
We also share long working experiences abroad (various countries in Europe, Asia and Africa), and a common innovative business vision.
We have launched this Genial project based on the quality of service, dynamism and professionalism, assets that we strongly believe in and that we share with our network of agents.
We offer the whole range, Spanish almond (organic and conventional), American almond and all processed almond products.
We also work with pistachos, walnuts and cashew.

I started building my luggage when I was 11 working in my hometown's ice cream shop. From there on so many different experiences in Italy and then at 20 I start my experience abroad.
